I am soo sorry I haven't been on in weeks! I have been locked away studying. I would especially like to apologize for the three people who have probably seen my blog. Let me tell you about my boy drama...
So my hockey team really wants to find me a boyfriend. This boy, we will call him William, has liked me for a little while and my team found out. After snap chatting for a month, my friends somehow forced me into talking to him. We talk ALL the time now. I don't know if I like him or not and there are certainly things that aren't my favorite. Like I know he's a guy but c'mon lets keep it classy. Like he watches adult videos a lot, and I'm worried that he will ask me to do those things. I have made it clear that I won't do those in high school. I can't decide. I need help from and outside source.
If you are the only person that actually sees this and has a gmail account, feel free to comment below
XOXOXOXO

Here are a few of my favorite things
After all of the holidays, I thought I would discuss my favorite things I got :)
Shoes: My shiny grey Hunters! I have always wanted Hunters, before school started I was going to get them but, I decided on Vineyard Vines Whalies and Sperrys instead. I have worn my hunters almost every day, they go with all of my outfits. I even wore them to my hockey game and had to do pre-game warm-ups in them. Overall, they were a great gift and perfect color!
Pants: Lululemon leggings!! I have 5 pairs as it is, but they are such a staple item!! You can dress it up with a nice shirt and a necklace or dress it down with a hoodie! I wear my lulus all the time and I really need all I can get!
Shirt: Vineyard Vines Tiny Boats Shep shirt! After asking and asking and asking, I got my first Shep shirt. They are such a cute staple for my wardrobe, and super comfortable. Its also very unique, I am the only person in my grade to have one. Whenever you can, try to get clothes that nobody has, its okay if people copy you, just be unique!
Mittens: I don't know the exact name of these mittens, but they are thick, fleece-lined wool mittens that are made from vintage wool. Its great to have for the cold winters.
Hair: Bubble Curling Iron. I have naturally curly hair, but I have to brush it or else it looks messy, and if I brush it it gets frizzy. So I brush my hair and then curl it with this and it looks PERFECT every time!!
There is a short list of my favorite new things!!!

Live Everyday Like Its A Celebration
As many of us are lucky to live a fabulous life in the south, others of us live through snowy, icy winter that the northern states have. Through the snow and ice, I know my vitamin d gets low and I have to trudge through the rest of winter. The beginning of winter normally isn't a problem, mainly because of the joy of the holidays. After about January 1st, the classes get harder, the winter gets colder, and the summer seems farther away. Some people cure this with a weekend trip to Florida, Hawaii, California, or really any place where the low is higher than 50 degrees. Although others have winter sports or busy parents and can't go to their well-needed vacation. Therefore, I try to be a "Lilly Girl". "The Lilly girl is always full of surprises. She lives everyday like it's a celebration. Never has a dull moment, and makes every hour a happy hour" -Lilly Pulitzer. Just in case I'm not the only one who knows what I'm talking about, I am going to share my tips on how to be a Lilly Girl.
- Paint your nails a bright color!
- Just before the winter blues set in, I painted my nails a bright coral color to literally brighten my appearance and change up the dreary colors of winter.
- Make up your own holidays!
- It doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize that the beginning of the school year is loaded with days off. Long five day weeks really grind out the fun. To deal with this, choose a Saturday and create a special holiday for the heck of it! For example, this year I chose to celebrate my one-year "whale-versary" and bought myself a small present. You don't have to buy yourself a present, just celebrate YOU!
- Throw a party
- Invite all of your friends (and some hot guys) and set the dress code as swimwear. Buy some fun, tropical decorations and have a pool party (just without the pool). Get tropical fruit and serve PiƱa Colatas.
- Buy some flowers
- Brighten up a room with some pretty flowers.
And my last tip of the day…
- Write in multi-colored pens!
- Literally brighten your day!
Those are some of my tips for trudging through the winter!!
Stay tuned for a reveal of my new VV gear

New Year, New Blog, Same Class
To start off my blog, I would like to say…. Happy New Years!! I hope that this year is full of joy, happiness, class, style, parties, and Vineyard Vines. For me starting off the New Years is hanging out in the -30 degree windchill at my farm and eating THE annual king crab dinner. Or maybe I would say it is getting my present that I bought myself from Vineyard Vines! Or maybe its my friends sending me pictures or posting them on Instagram of them on the beaches of Florida, California, or any other warm places they can find. All of us have little rituals that are followed to make the year the best it can be, and trust me, if you think about it, these are the places your best memories will come from.
I am a 15 year old girl from the suburbs in Minneapolis. I have grown up lacing up my skates and playing neighborhood pond hockey on my pond. One my parents came to their senses, they realized that my siblings and I needed to see some sun, which led to us spending our spring break at the fabulous Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo. I never noticed all of the beautiful, preppy clothes around me. Then I saw it and fell in love.
January 1st, 2013. This is the day where I first saw Vineyard Vines. On the night before, me and my brother had gone to a New Years Eve Party at Ocean Reef's rec. room. After checking in, we beeline to the boys vs. girls laser tag game. Being as shy as I am, I sheepishly walked over to the big group of girls. To my surprise they invited me in to their "clique" quite quickly. After losing quite quickly, the girls all went inside. All went over where everybody was from, surprisingly there was even a girl who lived in Minnesota too! After hanging out with them all night, the midnight bell rang and it was time to go home. Since we had exchanged phone numbers, we all texted to meet in the Fishing Village that afternoon. After running around doing errands all morning, I could finally go meet my friends. Then I saw it, she was wearing a white Vineyard Vines Graphic Tee. I wanted one sooo bad now. We all decided to go into Vineyard Vines and grab one of the ADORABLE pink whale hats. That is my first run-in with Vineyard Vines. I guess today is my first whale-versary?
